This is an additional tool to practice using the RACE strategy. I attached the link to an all time classic story, "The Giving Tree." This resource includes the questions that will be answered using the now very popular graphic organizer I created.
Use the CUBES strategy to solve real world mathematical problems. This is a great way of breaking down math word problems. Everything is color coded so students can easily see how breaking down a word problem can help them answer it.
I use this template as a guide when writing an essay for English Learner's and my Special Education students. The tree map helps them organize their ideas and the sentence frames provide them with a starting point. You can reuse this on countless essays. It is amazing to see how after a few trials the students themselves will begin to fill out the slides on their own.
My EL and SpEd students always struggle to restate questions as statements, which is why I always introduce the skill presented in this worksheet before I get into RACE.
This is a perfect resource to teach your EL's or SPED students to familiarize themselves with SBAC type of questions. Students are provided with essays that are missing a conclusion, which they have to write based on annotating important details from the essay. There are 3 essays included in this resource.
Assign a topic to discuss to your students and have them use the template to complete their own argumentative paragraph. The scaffolding makes this product perfect for introducing the topic, EL's and Special Education students.
Use this Google Slides to introduce to your students how to write an argumentative paragraph. It includes links to pros and cons on 4 different topics so you are ready to use it as soon as you download, no prep needed.
Use this graphic organizer to help you write out an argumentative essay. It is color coded for easier understanding and it comes with a topic to begin practicing right away. The best part is it totally reusable, and you can assign to be used with any topic you are working on.
Utilize this resource to write paragraphs about any particular subject. Guide the students using the bubble map to write information about the topic. Then, using the color coding the students can fill in their paragraph frames with their information from the bubble map. It is a great resource because you can use it over and over again with different topics.
