These fraction strips are purposefully not labeled so that students can practice identifying fractions. (wholes, 1/2s, 1/3s, 1/4s, 1/6s, 1/8s are included) Print each sheet on a different colored cardstock. This can be used for equivalent fractions, composing and decomposing fractions, and adding and subtracting fractions.

Using snap cubes, students discover that numbers that are divisible by 2 are even.

Students will use the catalog provided to shop for their birthday party! They will use estimation to add and subtract.

This is a teacher-led activity that helps students understand the differences between addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division word problems and their bar models (strip diagrams). The word problems provided were created based on released STAAR questions.

Prep- Print lockers on different color tag and laminate. Print locks all on one color and laminate.Place velcro on the back of locks and on locker where the lock would go.Students will work problems and velcro the locks to the corresponding locker number.Activity Students will read a word problem and match their answer to the correct locker number.
