After reading "The Boy who Harnassed the WInd" this is a simple activity to do with students. I like to share a short video such as this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xy9nj94xvKA and then let students work together to understand the parts of a wind turbine.
Students must use what they know about distance, direction vocabulary and reflections to help Alex get his 2 vaccine shots without running into any covid germs. This activity was created for 6th grade students, however you could also encourage students to use rotations and translation vocabulary for older students. Also included is a simple coordinate plane doodle notes page and a blank graph and table for students to create their own coordinate maze.
