The quiz has a vocabulary matching section for the following terms:
impeach, assassination, reconstruction, Freedmen's Bureau, sharecropping, Jim Crow, and segregation
Then the students explain how the following people had an influence on this time period:
Abraham Lincoln, John Wilkes Booth, Andrew Johnson, The Ku Klux Klan
There are also multiple choice questions on the 13th, 14th, and 15th amendments
There are two short answer questions on Lincoln's Plan for Reconstruction and the Freedma
This is a project that allows students to prepare a fun presentation on one of the decades in the 20th century. Each decade includes an important event that students learn about. This can be a group or individual project.

The students can wear fashion, bring in food, or play music from the time period.

*review skills: factors, multiples, even, odd, prime factorization, divisibility rules, prime, composite
The students have several choices on how to present the events from this time period:

Corporations vs. Monopolies
Immigration stations
Progressives
United States acquisition of Alaska and Hawaii
Cause/effect of the Spanish-American War
Panama Canal
There is also a rubric for how they will be assessed
Students have three options for this project:
*They can write an informational paper about Babe Ruth, Henry Ford, Charles Lindbergh, Langston Hughes, or Louis Armstrong
*They can choose to be a curator for a new museum to present the important events from this time period
*They can write their own patriotic song and illustrate it
