Students use clues to find the missing digits in a given number. This is a great way to informally assess students' ability to apply number sense. After purchasing and downloading the document, it would be great to extend this activity using different number clues. Extension: Have students come up with clues.

This template is an excellent way to assess student’s knowledge of sounds. Students write each SOUND of a word in a different color and sort words according to given word patterns. This is an excellent form that can be adapted from grade K to 5 and beyond. I use this as a choice in one of my Word Study stations and the kids LOVE it! ?
