This a GREAT game to engage students in exploring words! My students have this as an option at a word work station. They practice finding similarities in words by fitting them together. Students relate easily to this game because even those who haven't played the "old fashioned" Scrabble, have played "Words with Friends"! This is a great game to practice basic addition, subtraction or multiplication skills. The teacher dermines the skill students will practice and gives students a range of numbers to write on 9 sticky notes. Student then take turns rolling the dice, performing the given operation and coving the numbers with game pieces. A player wins when they have "three in a row" as in traditional tic-tac-toe.
