In my second grade class, we always learn about the life cycle of a mealworm. I buy mealworms from the local pet store, and my class provides a habitat for them. We are able to watch the entire life cycle unfold. It is truly amazing! While the mealworms grow, we do some fun experiments with them. I usually do the attached activity in small groups. They love this!

- Math Review and Practice test that I gave my students to use as homework. it could even be used as a pre-assessment
This task is intended to assess student application of area and perimeter for 2-D Shapes. Every year my students get excited to complete this assessment. This is a Halloween and Grammar activity I used after I read aloud Arthur's Halloween. The words in the word sort is from the story Arthur's Halloween. This could be used in a Halloween Station,
This is a 15 question powerpoint on Even and Odd. I used it as a review game with my 2nd graders the day before our assessment. Each question is worth a certain amount of points. The kids loved keeping score!
This is a rubric I created while teaching 3rd Grade Social Studies. Our school system uses Gallopade for Social Studies. This rubric goes along with Chapter 15 in Gallopade. Activity: This was a fun summative assessment for students. Students created mini-booklets for each explorer we learned about. I allowed students to use their Gallopade books and this self-made rubric to complete the activity/assessment over a few class periods.
