This activity is a formative assessment that can be used in conjunction with the performance task found in Unit 1 in Georgia's 2nd grade math curriculum. Math (composition) notebooks have been highly encouraged by state curriculum developers and this activity may be used as an artifact inserted into students' notebooks.
