Teaching style

My focus is upon creating opportunities for high ability students to have to work extremely hard to achieve success. Many gifted students gain high grades with very little personal effort, and miss opportunities to develop persistence and resilience. Consequently my goal is strengthen the link between effort and reward to prepare students for subsequent intellectual and personal challenges.

Awards & shining teacher moments

Undergraduate degrees in Agriculture(University of Sydney), Teaching (Australian Catholic University) and Divinity (University of London). Post graduate degrees in Gifted Education (University of NSW) and Veterinary Science (University of Sydney)

My own education history

I came to teaching mid life and bring a broad academic and personal experience to the classroom. I have a particular interested in gifted students with other exceptionalities including ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorders.
