About the store
I have had the pleasure of teaching for four years now at a rural High School in Florida. I currently teach English I Honors and a variety of Drama courses. I have also taught English III (American Lit) for two years and gifted 8th grade Language Arts during my internship (with an emphasis on Shakespeare).
My Drama courses include Introductory Drama, Theatre I, Theatre II, Theatre III Honors, Theatre IV Honors, Technical Theatre, Acting I, and Stage Management and Directing.

Audience Etiquette Tableau Project
After teaching students the basics of audience etiquette. Tableau is a simple way to introduce students to performing on stage as it only requires posing. This project combines both topics into one assessment.

Stage Combat Scene Project
This handout provides guidelines for an assessment project after a hand-to-hand stage combat unit. It requires two students to create a scene with specific moves learned during the unit. It also provides three questions to get students started on their scene. This pairs well with the stage combat map I also sell.

Combat Map Outline
After introducing students to basic hand-to-hand stage combat moves, it is common to assign students to work in pairs and create fight choreography. Whether students are to perform the choreography or not, all combat choreography should be planned and recorded.
This worksheet provides the basic outline (with examples) on how students should write out their fight.

Teaching style
Whether in my English Language Arts or Drama lessons I strive to foster creativity, critical thinking, and independence in my students. Through cooperative learning and applying the Gradual Release of Responsibility, students are able to explore the subjects of Literature and Theatre independently, with the security of a safety net in the support found in my lessons.

I earned my B.A. in English at the University of Florida and then returned for my M.Ed. in English Education. I am certified in secondary English Language Arts.
Additional biographical information
In addition to my formal education in English, I have been involved in the Theatre Arts for 22 years. Beginning in my Mother's dance classes, I moved on to acting and eventually directing. I have been active within my community's theater for nearly ten years now and I am constantly striving to gain more knowledge in theatre.
