About the store
I am a Dual Language teacher in El Paso, TX. I have taught for 8 years in 2nd and 3rd grade and 1 year in 5th grade.
I am also currently the pilot 21st Century Classroom for my campus. I use the Flipped Classroom model and have open and flexible seating in my class. We incorporate technology daily and throughout every content area I teach. The goal is to have the majority of our work be paperless. My role on campus is to be the model classroom as we try to adjust to the needs of our students.
I have attended and presented at various education conferences, both locally and nationally.
I have the honor of representing my campus as the Teacher of the Year for the 2018-2019 school year and have previously been awarded the Dual Language Teacher of the Year as well.

Vocabulary Task Cards - Dictionary Choice Practice
Students need LOTS of practice determining the appropriate meaning for multiple-meaning words according to their usage.
Each of these task cards will give a dictionary entry (from various released STAAR tests) for a multiple-meaning word and 4 sentences, one for each definition.
Students will need to match each sentence with the correct definition according to the context in which it is being used.

Literature Circles Roles 1st-3rd Grade
Literature Circles are meant to deepen students’ comprehension of a text. In groups of 4-6, students all read the same text independently. Depending on the length of the text, they can read the whole thing or up to an agreed-upon page. Each student has a role that allows them to discuss the book once they are done reading for the day. Each role has a different comprehension focus and is meant to take only a few minutes to complete once the student is familiar with the requirements of the role.
