This is a fill in the blank activity for students to practice personification.

This is a short reader's theater I wrote that is the Christmas version of the Three Bears. It could be used with first or second grade depending on the level of the readers. I made enough parts for a whole class or it could be adapted to fit a smaller group.

This is an adaptation of the fable The Lion and the Mouse. The main characters are sea creatures at the beach to get the students ready for summer. It includes 15 parts. This play could be used 2-5 and higher level first grade readers.

This play is based on Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. It addresses issues such as: respect, politeness, please and thank-you, helping others, neatness, etc. This play is perfect for the beginning of the year to teach social skills. It has 13 characters but could be easily adapted to more.

This play is loosely based on Cinderella. Ruderella has trouble making friends because she obnoxious, rude, and mean to others. When the most popular boy in school has a party, she is not invited. Through this play, the students will learn the importance of kind words and what it means to be a friend. This play has 15 characters, but could easily be adapted to fit a larger group.

This is an adaptation of the fairy tale Jack and the Beanstalk. It has 12 characters, but could be adapted to fit more students. The play is about how Jack deals with a bully at school. It would be great as a beginning of the year play to address issues of bullying.

This is a bundle of vocabulary activities based on the novel including: context clues worksheet, vocabulary match, synonym and antonym match, sensory language go fish and a fun final activity. This also corresponds to a Smartboard presentation I created for the novel.
