These mats are a great way for students to practice and understanding borrowing and regrouping. Students can work on the guided practice mats, with reminders or independently to solve addition and subtraction problems with tens and hundreds. The mat templates are meant to be printed and placed in sheet protectors to create “mats” where students can use dry-erase makers to solve problems. These are fraction strips that students can color and cut to compare fractions with a visual representation. Fraction strips are drawn and cut with denominators ranging from 2-10 (page 1). I have included 4 templates (page 2) where students can place two fraction strips at a time and compare their sizes, there is also a work page (page 3) which provides examples for students to try on their own and this work page contains blank fractions (last column) that the instructor can fill and distribute

This is a fun way to teach and review place value with students. They can print, cut and fill the number scrolls. This is a great activity for math centers, for warm up and for review. There is a spot of each form of a number, EXPANDED, WORD FORM, STANDARD FORM and MODELS. Place values for tens to millions!

This strategy is an exit ticket to gauge understanding of a word, skill or concept. After a lesson is complete, students can SUM It Up! by attaching a sticky note in one of the three sections provided.
