This is a unit designed to go with stories from around the world. The exact books have not been selected so that the teacher can choose from what is available at their school and at their students' level. There are many activity ideas and graphic organizers designed to be used with the unit. I actually gave this to my teacher assistants to do with groups of students during guided reading. My students enjoyed the stories and the activities that went with it.
This is a record mini book that each students records what color apple was their favorite and describes it in a few words. Then as a class favorite apples are tallied and then graphed. Three questions are asked about the graph. The students are then asked to draw an apple tree through the seasons. It works very well with the book The Apple Pie Tree.
