Early Learning Store

This is a Thanksgiving activity based on the book Stone Soup by Marcia Brown. It involves making the soup.

This is a unit designed to go with stories from around the world. The exact books have not been selected so that the teacher can choose from what is available at their school and at their students' level. There are many activity ideas and graphic organizers designed to be used with the unit. I actually gave this to my teacher assistants to do with groups of students during guided reading. My students enjoyed the stories and the activities that went with it.

This is the hand out to scaffold young children into writing simple reports on a subject. I had my students then take this and create a power point or they can be taken and used to create an actual written report. I used this with first graders but it can be used with older students as well.
