A fun, interactive math game students can play with a partner. Provide 2 different color pencils/markers and 1-2 dice, depending on the students level. Student 1 roles the dice and writes the number down in the first column, student 2 is in charge of looking at the hundreds chart,finding one MORE than the number rolled and writes it down. This was designed to go with the math games on my page. It is a basic hundreds chart, but I added arrows to help guide students to find one more, one less, ten more and ten less. I use this chart in daily guided instruction and distributive practice review. I also include a copy in students homework folders. Seeing the visual of the arrows, helps them to recognize if a number is increasing/decreasing and by what amount. It's an additional tool to use when teaching what can be a sometimes challen

I use this to teach fact families. Using the fact family cards from our math series, students enjoy making a 'family' of their own.

Based on the first grade math content, I use these to label the math tubs or bags for my math center activities.I also use them in guided math groups to inform students of the learning target/ are we will be focusing on.

Fun, interactive game for students to work with a buddy on. 10 more is hard concept for students to grasp, so I incorporate this into math centers all year long, but just build up the base number.

A three addend learning target ( I put it on the math center bag) and a blank graphic organizer with 9 questions. I use dice or number cards for students to add the 3 numbers together.

To encourage deeper meaning and understanding of numbers, the number of the day shows a variety of ways to write one specific number. It is a quick daily activity that kids love and become very independent with. I also see them transfering and connecting skills from this to other math concepts.

I label everything so students can stay organized and easily find the item that will be needed. This is for Avery label 5163.
