This was designed to go with the math games on my page. It is a basic hundreds chart, but I added arrows to help guide students to find one more, one less, ten more and ten less. I use this chart in daily guided instruction and distributive practice review. I also include a copy in students homework folders. Seeing the visual of the arrows, helps them to recognize if a number is increasing/decreasing and by what amount. It's an additional tool to use when teaching what can be a sometimes challen
To encourage deeper meaning and understanding of numbers, the number of the day shows a variety of ways to write one specific number. It is a quick daily activity that kids love and become very independent with. I also see them transfering and connecting skills from this to other math concepts.
