Eclectic Classroom

I am currently an assistant in the classroom, substitute teacher, and classroom interpreter for the Deaf. I am working on getting my teacher license and look forward to that day. I have spent the last four years in the classroom. I have developed lessons, planned activities, created countless worksheets, PowerPoints, Word documents, and other materials for the the teachers and students I work with.

Currently I prefer visual and hands on since the students I work with are primarily visual. Ultimately though, I think a little of everything can be helpful depending on the students.

I graduated with Honors from American Intercontinental University (Online).

Graduated MacMurray College with and AA in Interpretation for the Deaf (under the education department as it was not a foreign language at the time). Graduated American Intercontinental University (Online) with a BA in Business Administration.

I have worked with and been part of the Deaf community for well over ten years. In college I lived and worked at the Illinois School for the Deaf. Now I currently work in another Deaf school (I do not wish to share which one at the time) and have been for the past four years. I have found that I absolutely love being in the classroom because of these experiences (not just working with Deaf but special needs in general). I look forward to continued learning and one day having my own classroom with my own special students. =)
