This is a fun extension project I’ve used with my 5th grade math students for several years. Over the course of a 6-week multiplication and division unit, my students would work on Road Trip after completing the lesson and activities for the day. It builds off multiplication and division concepts at its core, but draws upon mapping, planning, research and presentation skills. Teaching style

Learning should be fun. I try to make everything interesting, interactive and meaningful for my students. I incorporate the arts into as many lessons as I can, trying to offer students a variety of ways to take in new ideas and to demonstrate their understanding.

Bachelor in Business Communication in 1994 and Masters in Creative Arts in Learning / Elementary Education in 2004
