Teaching style

I used "backwards mapping" when planning each unit, beginning with selecting the appropriate standards relevant to my unit/lesson. Then, I would refer to test-released questions on state testing to see how these standards are tested. This creates a framework for which I created lessons to help scaffold and teach to mastery in each class. It is said a person needs 28 repetitions of any given new concept for a student to master, so I used this methodology to create and review concepts throughout the year.
