Awards & shining teacher moments

In December 2016, I was nominated for the 2016-2017 Golden Apple Award for Excellence in Teaching at the junior high level. After taking on a new high school teaching position at a new district, I was once again nominated for the 2021-2022 Golden Apple Award. I trained three years in the Discovery Education Future Leaders Program with a focus on educational technology.

My own education history

My undergraduate Bachelor's Degree was in Secondary Education Social Sciences and Political Science. My first Masters Degree was to become a Reading Specialist. My second Masters Degree was in curriculum and instruction.
