Elementary Activity Printables

I-search papers are designed to teach the I-search writer, and those that read it, valuable information on a chosen subject. As the writer, you look for facts in numerous areas and then record your process in a step-by-step fashion.

Do you have students that are always finished early and want more to do? These activities can work for a variety of learners, but this list is compiled from my experience with GT students/fast finishers.

Brainstorm with the students several places in the U.S. that they would like to visit. Divide students into groups. Then allow 15-20 minutes for the groups to work together and choose their destinations. Remind them to consider time and amount of money they have to spend. Each group should choose a different destination. At this point give each student a copy of the Dream Vacation Rules sheet and have them get started.
