My mother and I combined have 20+ years in education. My mother (Judy Brown) worked in the special education field and the 2nd grade classroom. She is still involved with children through systematic testing 3 times a year. She also tutors students in reading. I (Rachel Thiry) will start my 5th year in the 3rd grade classroom. Story Problems for Halloween
~ Ghostly Fun with Story Problems is a hands-on activity for your math workshop time. This set includes 28 story problems and a set of ghost manipulatives to aid in answering the story problems.
~ This activity can be used with GhostMallows available during the Halloween season. To use the GhostMallows with the task cards provide each group of 4 students with one-half of the bag of marshmallows. The students will use the marshmallows to answer the story problems.

I (Judy Brown) have earned degrees in Elementary Education grades 1-8, Cross Categorical PreK-12, and Learning Disabilities 1-12.
Recently I've been enjoying taking classes focusing on technology.
