About the store
I've worked in a variety of settings at a variety of grade levels. I started my career in preschool, where I worked for six years. I also taught 5th grade in an upper-middle class suburban community as well as an urban charter school that served a Muslim population. Since then, I have been in my current district, Ann Arbor. Here I taught 1st grade and 4th grade for 14 years before transitioning into a math coach position.
For 7 years, I also worked for The Princeton Review, a test preparation company. For The Princeton Review, I taught and tutored for the ACT, SAT, GMAT, GRE, and MCAT verbal tests. I trained prospective teachers for the ACT and GMAT. I also wrote content for their ACT, Early Edge, and GMAT materials.

Number Name & Place Value Bingo - Teens and Decuples (10, 20, 30...)
This engaging BINGO game helps students build number sense by practicing two key number representations: numeral and value. The game includes two versions: Number Name to Numeral – Students listen to number names (e.g., “eighteen”) and cover the matching numeral (e.g., 18) on their BINGO card. Value Description to Numeral – Students listen to a description of the number’s value (e.g., “ten and eight ones”) and match it to the correct numeral. The same Bingo cards can be used with each version.

Teaching style
My focus is on small-group instruction with flexible groupings based on data. I try to incorporate authentic learning experiences and inquiry-based investigations.
My own education history
I attended undergraduate and graduate school at Michigan State University. My graduate degree is in Teaching and Curriculum with a concentration in instructional technology.
I have been through Math Recovery training for: AVMR 1, AVMR 2, Fractions, MRSp1 (Math Recovery Specialist 1).
