About the store
Looking for something to help teach elementary math with a focus on standards-based grading? If so, you've come to the right place! I am an educator of 23 years. I've taught math in the 2nd, 4th, 5th, and 6th grades. I love teaching math! I have had the opportunity to teach in three different systems across Alabama. I've participated in several math committees and teams to develop curriculum and grading scales. A lot has changed over the years, ie, textbooks, standards, teaching styles and techniques, responsibilities... Hopefully, you can find something here to help you on your math journey. Enjoy!

Teaching style

My teaching style is a mix of old-school and hands-on. I know students need to move around and touch materials to learn. I do believe one-on-one teaching and math manipulatives are very valuable in a successful math classroom. I also believe students need lots of practice. Today's students need to get off the iPads and work more with paper and pencil.
