Simple keynote about the 4 types of fossils.

This is a keynote presentation that goes through 7 different biomes and 6 animals that live in each biome. After each biome slide set there is a trivia to quiz students on the animals they just learned about. Students are studying the 7 regions of turkey. We are looking at the plants, animals, and weather in each region. This powerpoint focuses on those pieces of information about each.

My 1st grade students studied Turkey for our Global Studies unit. We learned about the plants and animals that live in the 7 different regions of Turkey. I printed this out for the students to use as a worksheet to label the regions. I also printed two copies super large. Laminated both, and then cut out the one with the labels to have students attach like puzzle pieces using velcro to the unlabeled copy.

My 3rd grade students had a unit where we shot off bottle rockets. We use this worksheet to learn about the parts before constructing our rockets.

I used this foldable for students to put into their interactive science notebook to learn about what makes up an atom.

These can be used as inspiration for your own anchor charts or printed to put around your room or given to students to help them study/explore science topics. They cover a wide range from chemistry to biology to physics, etc. I leave them hanging around my room all year long and I find students using the vocabulary from them and referencing them during our classroom discussions all the time!

My 3rd graders do a unit on trees and we learn how to identify different trees by using a dichotomous key. Attached is an activity to learn how to use these keys by using candy, as well as the dichotomous key we use for our tree study.
