Use this fun foldable to cover a basic food chain of a squid. Goes along with a squid dissection unit or ocean habitat study. Students can use the blank version, the black and white version, or the color version! See video for how it folds up.

Students role a dice and draw an animal based on what they rolled. Extensions could be to draw the animal in a habitat that fits for its body parts, write a description of the animal and its adaptations, discuss what the animal's diet/behavior might be, etc.!

I used this for a 1st grade unit about Spain. We talked about habitats and how animals get what they need in order to grow and thrive there. We also learn about animal adaptations that help them live in those places.

My 1st grade students studied Turkey for our Global Studies unit. We learned about the plants and animals that live in the 7 different regions of Turkey. I printed this out for the students to use as a worksheet to label the regions. I also printed two copies super large. Laminated both, and then cut out the one with the labels to have students attach like puzzle pieces using velcro to the unlabeled copy.

My 3rd grade students had a unit where we shot off bottle rockets. We use this worksheet to learn about the parts before constructing our rockets.

To go with a unit about properties of different materials, I used these flashcards to play different games and sort/categorize what objects are made out of which materials and why.

Students learned about medicinal herbs, and what they were used for before modern medicine. We then made rosemary soap using a soap base (found on amazon) and some fresh rosemary found in the garden (or grocery store).

Students draw and write the different parts that make up our blood. I used this in tandem with a lesson using orbeez, ping pong balls, and other materials to create a model of our blood that could be used as a sensory table station.
