When trying behavior strategies, documentation is a must! Make sure to keep notes on what has worked, what has not and what the next steps are. Either keep and ongoing list for your entire class, or choose 1 page per student in need.

Communication is key. You need to communicate with home often and frequently. Always document when you make a call or e-mail. This easy system allows you to document easily without having to find additional files. Track communication by class and date or student. Print as many copies as needed and place into a binder you keep near the computer or phone.
