About the store
I have been teaching for 13 years. I have a Masters in Education and a Masters in Leadership: Math Specialist. Math is definitely a passion mine. I created this store 9 years ago and took a hiatus, as life unfolded.
If you are looking for a fun math game to incorporate into your lesson or a task please don't hesitate to ask - I'd be more than happy to create a game upon request if possible! This is a .zip file.
There are 31 different backgrounds and 2 versions of the follow:
5 frame
10 frame
double 10 frame
That means there are 62 options for each frame.
This are blank ten frames to be printed, laminated, and used as student boards. These can be used in number talks, whole group lessons, small group lessons, partner work, and games. You could even consider sending one home to use!

Last Man Standing (Place Value Riddles)
This is a whole class game.
You will pick out clues form this set to read aloud, one at a time. As you read them you students will listen to the clues. When the clues no longer match their number they will sit down.
There are a lot of clues included that will cover numbers 1-1,000. You must be intentional with the clues you pick out (having a number/answer in mind).

Ice Cream Place Value
Scoop up some fun as you kids (s)cream about place value!
The ice cream cone has an number on it . They will add the scoops that represent the number on the cone. Each cone matches with 5 different colored scoops.
green scoops = tens and ones
blue scoops = expanded form
orange scoops = ten frame
pink scoops = number written out
purple scoops = base 10 blocks

How To Be A Good Friend
A series of mini posters that spell out the word FRIENDS.
Also included is a "quick and dirty" exit ticket/worksheet to give students after your mini lesson/discussion on good character. This is a great proactive mini-lesson to prevent bullying. This also goes well with Bucket Filling.

This is a game that can be played many ways. This file contains 200 slides worth of multiple representations for numbers 1-20. This is a great game to build number sense skills such as subitizing and mental math along with many other skills that will support their career in mathematics.
This can be a game of memory or working with a buddy to match cards into groups.

Pumpkin War (understanding numbers 1-10)
Here are the printable resources to create a deck of cards to play like war. Only, this time the numbers are represented different ways. Blank cards have been left for the teacher or student to create their own addition to the game (for numbers 1-10). Directions do come with the game. This helps build number sense by seeing, identifying, and creating (if you make your own addition to the game) different representations of the same number.

Black Out (Understanding Numbers/ Number Sense Game)
Black Out is played on one of the following charts

These charts are included to be printed and laminated. Each player needs their own chart. Each player also needs their own colored cubes/tiles.
They will place a cube on the number card that they draw.
These cards are included in color and black and white to be printed, cut and laminated.

Show Me The Number
This game can be played many ways. It could be a memory match game, a team building matching game (where they simple work together to find pairs or groups) etc. The academics behind the game is getting students used to see numbers displayed in different ways and being able to relate them to one another. This builds on their number sense.
You can extend this game by creating your own version and finding new ways to represent numbers. The possibilities are endless!!

Do you remember playing Smack as a child? The quick fun paced game of who has the quickest recall/identification skills to get the card first and win! I turned this into a fraction edition. Fractions are an important unit under number sense and I find it hard to get your hands on good fraction games that students can play independently. This game is played just like war only this time the numbers are displayed through ten frames. This game can easily be altered to 20 frame by cutting out the cards differently OR by turning it into an activity for your students to create their own version of the game.
