Hi there! I’ve been teaching since 2010, and over the years, I’ve taught math, science, and physics at different levels. I love inspiring students to explore, ask questions, and develop a deeper understanding of the world around them. As a department head and curriculum leader, I’ve also spent a lot of time designing programs that meet educational standards while keeping students engaged. I know how challenging it can be to find resources that balance rigor, creativity, and practicality—and that’s exactly why I create the materials I do. Everything I make is designed with teachers in mind. I know your time is precious, so my goal is to provide high-quality, student-centered resources that make your life easier. Whether you need a lesson plan, a hands-on activity, or a review package, I’m here to help you create meaningful learning experiences that work for you and your students.

Teaching style

My teaching style is dynamic and experimental, shaped by my background in science. I’m always exploring new methods and approaches in the classroom, blending creativity with inquiry-based learning. I see my students as partners in the learning process, encouraging them to take an active role in shaping their own educational journey. Whether it’s through hands-on experiments, collaborative projects, or interactive discussions, I aim to create a classroom environment where curiosity thrives, and students feel empowered to think critically, ask questions, and discover solutions together.

Awards & shining teacher moments

Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of contributing to the success of students, parents, and fellow educators in meaningful ways. One of my proudest achievements was developing a specialized math and science program that enriched learning opportunities for students at my school. I’ve served as department head in both math and science at two different schools, a role that allowed me to lead and support my colleagues in shaping effective teaching practices. I’ve been invited to speak to new teachers, sharing insights and strategies to help them navigate the early years of their careers, and I’ve also acted as a mentor to both staff and students, guiding them toward growth and success. Whether it’s helping students overcome challenges to reach their goals, supporting parents in their child’s learning journey, or collaborating with colleagues, I’ve always strived to be a positive force for good in the school community.

My own education history

I hold an Honours Bachelor of Science (H.B.Sc.) and a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from the University of Toronto, where I developed a strong foundation in both subject knowledge and teaching practice. In addition to my degrees, I have earned additional qualifications in guidance and career education, which have allowed me to support students beyond the classroom, helping them navigate their academic and career pathways. I am certified to teach at the junior, intermediate, and senior levels, giving me the flexibility and experience to work with a wide range of learners across different stages of their educational journeys.

Additional biographical information

When I’m not in the classroom or crafting lesson plans, I’m a busy dad to two amazing kids, and we call Toronto, CA, home. Parenthood has given me the chance to tap into my creative side in ways I never imagined—it’s a never dull, rewarding adventure every day! I absolutely love creating and sharing resources with fellow teachers, and knowing that something I’ve made is helping someone else in their classroom. That’s the best feeling ever. If you’ve made it through my little ramble, thank you! I appreciate you more than you know. Wishing you an amazing day filled with laughter, learning, and maybe even a bit of coffee! 😊
