This worksheet helps students practice the skill of repeated addition as a precursor to multiplication. It is designed to help them connect their knowledge of addition and arrays to understand that the number sentences 4+4+4=12 and 4x3=12 are the same thing. This worksheet can be done independently, with partners, or whole-group. The last two problems ask students to create their own array as well as the subsequent number sentences. This can be used as an exit ticket to check for understanding!
This product outlines how to solve one-step word problems using the graphic organizer method of WIK and WINK. At the bottom of the graphic organizer, they will solve the problem.
