Proving Triangle Congruence Notes
I use this worksheet as notes for proving triangle congruence using SSS, SAS, ASA, AAS, and HL. This is a quick and easy way to talk about the differences between each theorem/postulate. I mark up congruent sides with the same number of tick marks and congruent angles with the same number of arcs on each of the 5 types of triangle congruence theorems/postulates. Classifying Triangles Concept Map
This is a concept map for classifying triangles that needs to be filled in by students. I have something like a family tree for classifying triangles by angles and by sides. I put an answer bank at the bottom with all the terms the students need to fill out: acute, obtuse, right, equiangular, scalene, isosceles, and equilateral triangles.

This quiz has a total of 5 special right triangle problems on it. There are two 45-45-90 special right triangle problems, 1 where a leg length is given and the other where the hypotenuse is given, where you need to find the 2 remaining sides. The remaining 3 problems are 30-60-90 special right triangle problems where you are given either the short leg length, the long leg length, or the hypotenuse and you must find the length of the remaining 2 sides.

Parallel Angle Relationships
I use this as notes for introducing parallel angle relationships. I have important vocabulary at the top to assist with the lesson: congruent, supplementary angles, and transversal. I print these notes out on colored paper so my students can find these notes quickly for later lessons throughout the year.

Parallel Angle Relationships Practice w/ Numbers
This worksheet is a follow-up to my Parallel Angle Relationships Practice worksheet I have on TpT. This worksheet has the kids label the parallel angle relationship, and find the missing angle 'x' on each problem. I've found out that since this concept is foreign to anything they've learned in geometry, it takes extra time to understand the concept. Pythagorean Theorem Notes: Finding A Missing Side Notes
These two pages are notes for finding missing sides of a right triangle using the Pythagorean theorem. The first page is for finding the hypotenuse, 'c', and the second page is for finding a missing leg, 'a' or 'b'. This worksheet is over proving if a triangle is a right triangle or not. I explain in two examples what has to happen in the Pythagorean theorem for 3 side lengths to make a right triangle. If the Pythagorean theorem balances out, then it is a right triangle. If the Pythagorean theorem doesn't balance out, then it isn't a right triangle.

I focus on helping students make better decisions along with enforcing work being shown to build confidence in their math skills. I have taught over 2000 students and have helped many of those students achieve more than they thought possible.
My own education history
I have a BS in mechanical engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. I started tutoring students from elementary level up to high school level in all subjects while in college, even taking a class where I taught engineering concepts to at-risk middle school students. I decided early in my engineering career that education was my calling and have been teaching ever since.
