Quadrilateral Flow Chart
This quadrilateral flow chart puts all the properties of the different types of quadrilaterals that I know onto one well-organized worksheet loaded with tons of information. I've made this a word document because I realize there might be more or less properties you'd like to have on this. You are welcome to modify this worksheet. I have a colorful version and a black and white version depending on what you are looking for.

Perimeter of Polygons Notes
These notes are word documents so you can modify if you'd like. These are notes on the perimeter of polygons. I start of with pretty basic problems, then have them solve for a missing side if given the perimeter and side of a rectangle. The last two perimeter problems are algebra based in that students must solve for x first knowing the perimeter and the sides in relation to x. For example, what if the sides of a triangle are x, 2x, and 2x+4 with a perimeter of 54. Find x and then find one

Area of Basic Shapes(no circles)
This is a word document so you can modify the worksheet if you want. This worksheet covers the area of squares, rectangles, triangles, parallelograms, trapezoids, rhombi and kites. I grouped rhombi and kites together because they have the same equation. This worksheet has a total of 12 problems where I have the basic area problem then I put in a hard problem for each type of shape. The hard problems require the students to find a missing side instead of the area or require the students to use

I am known for breaking down complex concepts into clear, simple explanations that help students build confidence and truly understand the material. My teaching approach is patient, supportive, and structured, focusing on meeting students where they are and helping them make steady progress. I believe every student can succeed in math with the right guidance, encouragement, and clear instruction.
Awards & shining teacher moments
I have many but I'm proudest at getting my students to believe in themselves. I focus on helping students make better decisions along with enforcing work being shown to build confidence in their math skills. I have taught over 2000 students and have helped many of those students achieve more than they thought possible.
My own education history
I have a BS in mechanical engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. I started tutoring students from elementary level up to high school level in all subjects while in college, even taking a class where I taught engineering concepts to at-risk middle school students. I decided early in my engineering career that education was my calling and have been teaching ever since.
