About the store
This year marks my 15th year in the teaching profession, and I have taught reading, writing, literature, and drama at both the secondary and post-secondary levels. I am certified in both Georgia and South Carolina and have taught students with diverse backgrounds and skill levels, from remedial/high risk to honor students. I've also worked with elementary and middle school students in after school and summer programs. One of my favorite activities is designing curriculum and I recently completed an Ed.S. program in curriculum. Before becoming a teacher, I ran my own business, and today, I still edit novels for two authors who often hit the bestsellers list on Amazon.

Teaching style

Since I was one of those students who was always bored in class, I work diligently to create lessons and activities that are engaging and fast-pasted. When I am developing new curricula, I always work through the assignments to make sure that I can both complete the work in the specified time and also not become disengaged. There are times that I still have to make adjustments to a lesson or activity during class, and that is fine, too, because each student and class may respond differently to the same lesson. Whenever possible, I try to allow students to choose their product or process.
