About the store

Experience

I have 8 total years of teaching experience in high school math. My experience has primarily been in New Jersey, but I also spent one year teaching in England, where I learned about different approaches to math and special education. I have worked with students from the remedial to honors level, including students with disabilities and English Language Learners. I currently work as a private tutor both remotely and in person.

Teaching style

My approach to teaching is to set high expectations while providing scaffolds and accommodations to give all students the ability to access the content. It is my firm belief that the teaching strategies recommended to help English Language Learners and students with disabilities are beneficial to ALL students, and that lessons should always be designed with these populations in mind.

My own education history

I have a B.S. in Mathematics from Stevens Institute of Technology and a TESOL Certification from Seton Hall University. I have also completed graduate coursework in Special Education at Saint Joseph's University.
