About the store
I have 22 years of experience in teaching and leading other teachers in the field of special education. I have taught students in both middle and high school. Much of my experience has been in working with students who have Autism and Intellectual Disabilities. I also have spent a great deal of time working with students who have Emotional Behavioral Disabilities. Most of my years in the classroom have been in a self-contained or pull-out setting. I now work as a co-teacher in an ELA classroom. I teach as an adjunct professor at Augusta University, too. In addition to special education certification, I also hold certification in general education content areas, educational administration, and as a reading specialist. I am a Google Level 1 and Level 2 Certified Educator, an Apple Teacher, and a Google Trainer.

Daily Report for Special Education Students

This is a daily sheet that I send home for students in my self-contained classroom in order to provide parents with information about all of the following: how much their child ate, upcoming events, their child's mood/behavior, what work activities their child did, what additional services or outside classes their child attended, and additional comments. I send these home and then have parents sign and return the sheets the following school day.

Additional biographical information

I am dedicated to finding better ways for material to be presented to students, resources for making it easier for a teacher to do his or her job, and studying about social justice issues. Even though I have completed my terminal degree, I will never stop learning. I love my students, my colleagues, and the college students I teach, and I believe there is much to learn from all of them.
