About the store

Experience

I have 25+ years experience tutoring all grade levels in math, 15+ years writing math test preparation and curriculum for K-12, 7 years working with gifted preschoolers, and I have taught from 5th grade math up to Calculus.

Teaching style

I am a Certified 7-12 Mathematics teacher in Texas. I have taught at the preschool, elementary, middle, and high school levels. My focus is on conceptual understanding, student engagement, and real-world application of mathematical concepts.

My own education history

I was in my school's gifted and talented program beginning in 1st grade when our program began. I graduated from high school in the International Baccalaureate program in 1999. I graduated from Washington University in St. Louis cum laude with my Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Civil Engineering in 2003.
