These example jokes could be used to teach learners the right and wrong time for humor, how to interpret humor feedback from others, how to understand and respond to humor feedback, and the difference between laughing at someone and laughing with someone.

This practice activity aims to help learners practice turn taking in conversations. To play, give one person a speaker card at a time and the rest listener cards. Only the person with the speaker card can talk. The person with the speaker card should ask questions, tell a story, tell about themselves, etc. until their turn is over. Players should use the cards to practice what to say if someone in the group accidentally interrupts them.

This practice activity aims to help learners practice turn taking in conversations. To play, get into groups of 2-4 players. Assign each person a number. Pick a topic and then draw a number from the pile. The person whose number was drawn gets to talk first. Continue your conversation by drawing more numbers.
