Read aloud or play the book “Don’t Touch That Flower”. Give students spring colored markers, crayons or highlighters! Have students answer each question by highlighting the answer. Make it even more fun by allowing students to color when finished.
I use this for my small groups! We cut out each piece and create a small craft! Followed by an independent worksheet! This helps with writing skills, identifying letters, and letter sounds. Please enjoy!!
This is a fun and colorful activity to practice working on CVC words to build confidence in reading and fluency. I have provided two versions of this activity. One you can have students color independently or one that is already colored for them. Have students read each CVC word on the strips. Cut each strip and glue them to the shamrock! A fun & cute St. Patrick’s Day ELA activity.
In my classroom I have students in small groups read the words off the coins to me. For each high frequency word that they get correct they can color, paint dot, highlight or paint stick the coin yellow. Another option is to call out a high frequency word. Have students locate/identify the word on their own, then “dot” the coin. NO PREP! 39 High Frequency words - cvc words- sight words - open syllables
Simple alphabet worksheets! No Prep, busy work. Introduce letters, by tracing, writing and reviewing sounds! It's simple enough that students can work on their own. I use these in my intervention classroom to focus on certain letters.
