This is a one page brief introduction to Dia de Los Muertos. It lends itself nicely to serving as a mini lesson before a related activity. Example: I have students read the introduction and then have them create Post-Its with questions they have about the cultural holiday. This is a great anticipatory set to do at the front of a unit on Day of the Dead. Over the course of the unit, we address the Post-It questions as they are answered.
This project allows students to research music with the ultimate goal of identifying figurative language. It promotes research, recognition, creativity, and effort.
5th - 8th

I printed these on card stock paper and cut them out. My students were assigned to create 3 trading cards of the god or goddess of their choice. On the left side of the card, they illustrated a picture along with the Greek name of their god or goddess. On the right side, the Roman name is required as well as symbols and what the gods & goddesses reign over (such as sea, love, etc.). There is also a line for fun facts (bonus information).
This activity was done during our Greek mythology unit.
This is a list of 25 frequently used emotions when paired with ESTAR. Students are able to learn the present tense form of ESTAR while studying emotion-related vocabulary. These two sheets act as anchor charts for students to write ESTAR sentences related to feelings and emotions.
In an effort to support and encourage each other as educators, here is an About Me sheet for teachers and staff. It is suggested to pass this out to all staff members to fill out and return to a point of contact. A Master folder of all sheets can be kept in a set location or copies can be made for each staff member. This sheet can also be be used within specific teams. Take a moment to look over the sheet of a staff member and provide them with a small happy for the day.
Deportes - Vocabulary List Featuring Jugar (Present & Preterite) 2 to a page I printed these out on card stock paper and cut them (there are 2 to a page) and gave them to my students as an anchor vocabulary sheet for several sports related activities.
