Grade 6 Trees and Forests Trivial Pursuit Review
This review game targets the Trees and Forests unit of the Grade 6 Science curriculum. It's based on the popular Trivial Pursuit game, and holds 80 questions, placed into 4 categories: The Food Chain, Trees, Forest Cycles, Forest Life. Questions are based on all the outcomes for this unit, and split into these four categories!
The pages are all interactive. Some pages you will move the questions to find the correct answers, others are multiple choice, some you erase certain words, etc.

This SMARTBoard Notebook lesson talks about the four levels of the forest. It includes information on each level, and a brief multiple choice review at the end.

Experience

Teaching style
I believe very strongly that students need to be engaged to learn, and they need to feel safe and nurtured if they're going to be expected to take risks with their learning. Each student is a unique individual, and deserves to be treated as such!
A fun classroom to be in is a fun classroom to learn in!

My own education history
I graduated from the University of Alberta in 2002, and since then have worked in many different levels of education. I spent three years teaching a pre-school program before moving up into the division one and two levels. Since then, I have worked with grades 3 and 4, and with grades 7,8,9 and 10 math. Primarily, I have worked with Grade 6, and am currently on my 12th year with this grade level.
Additional biographical information
Along with teaching, I am also a published writer. I have published several short stories, along with a Middle-Grade fantasy novel, "Dreamshaper," and a children's illustrated book, "Mr. Pratt's Coffee Mug." Dreamshaper was originally published through Black Rose Writing, and has been re-released as a self-published novel.
