“The Investor” is a fun, real life project that teaches kids about investing their money and the basics of the stock market. Instructions and practice on how to keep track of changing prices and how to calculate profits or losses are included. Students follow the changing prices of their shares over 10 days attempting to end up with the highest profit possible. Through the project, students will need to: - Round decimals to the nearest whole dollar. - Multiply to find the value of their shares

“Made to Order” is a quick and easy game to set up in which students use dice or a deck of cards to create whole numbers, addition or multiplication equations, and order those numbers from least to greatest. It is a challenge for students to decide which number should go in which place so that they don’t find themselves with any space for their newly created number. Included are instruction pages for a variety of ways to play the game, as well as multiple versions of the student game sheet.

Stack ‘Em Up is an easy to play repeated adding game that works on reinforcing friendly numbers. Players take turns trying to make multiples of ten to earn points. At the end of the game, the player with the most points wins. Grades 4, 5 and 6 have really enjoyed playing it, and it helped a lot of students work on their friendly numbers, particularly students that struggle in math.
