Students will cut and paste the events from their school year in chronological order. This is an activity ALL students will be able to do because they are events from the school year that all have participated in. Ex. first day of school, picture day, winter break etc. There is also a blank template where students can add in their own events to put in order. Have your students set goals for themselves and watch them grow!!! My kids love graphing this as much as they love watching their selves grow! We do fluency checks each week so at the beginning of each week they have 1 minute to read their leveled readers. At our literacy centers throughout the week we read the book multiple times. Genre identification RL,4.5 Six different passages that students will read. They will need to identify the genre and find the elements in the passage that make it that claimed genre. I love using this with my students because they have to pull a different kind of text evidence but are still supporting their answer. It is also really easy to see which students have mastered the skill and which still need more help on.

I found a ton of cute stuff on Pinterest for a end of the year camping theme activity but I couldn't find the resources to go with it. I could find cute camp songs and snacks to make but not exactly what I was looking for. In this activity pack students will work with syllables, shades of meaning, sentence scramble and nouns verbs and adjectives. The only thing that needs prep is the sentence scramble. The rest is cut and paste!
