CONVERT METRIC UNITS OF LENGTH CENTER

Created by
FergTeaches5
Teachers using this center need to gather 10 different objects to measure. Additionally, students should have metric rulers or meter sticks available to use. Students use this table to choose objects to measure in a particular metric unit (mm, cm, m, etc.) Students measure the object in ONE unit. Then, using base 10 patterns of multiplication and division, students will convert the measurement to other units in the chart. This worksheet can also easily be changed to metric units of capacity

Teaching style

Students in my class learn by experience, collaboration, research, experimentation, and MAKING MISTAKES! We use technology to research, practice concepts, and engage in online experiments. Students' ideas are always encouraged. Peer tutoring, flexible choices, and UDL are a big part of the dynamics of the learning that occurs in this classroom.
