I have spent the past 30 years in education with most of the years in the classroom. I took 3 years off to dabble in administration, but realized that the classroom is where true education occurs. The vast majority of the 27 years of teaching have focused on chemistry and physical science. I have also taught numerous electives over the years. Speed Problems and Homework Sets
This file contains my description of the TEMP method of solving word problems in science. There are 6 speed word problems to use in class and then 5 sets of speed homework questions that are also 6 questions long. Sets A and B are the same questions in the same order as the 6 in class questions but with different numbers. Set A has numbers that do not require the use of calculators and set B will require calculators. Sets C and D are the same as set A and B except the questions are in different

Significant Figures and Recording Calculations Notes and Review Sheet
This packet contains notes on signficant figures and how to record answers to calculations. The notes include 7 rules for counting signficant figures and the practice questions ask students to detail which of the 7 rules that was applied to counting the significant figures. By requiring students to give the rules, the process of looking at the notes to determine the correct number of significant figures is reinforced.
