This activity is a great introduction to the concept of specialists versus generalists in an ecology, ecosystems, or biodiversity unit. The vocabulary is appropriate for a general biology class but also spans the needs of a upper level biology or AP class.

Teaching style
I believe that the job of an educator is to facilitate learning experiences that provide information for students to make meaning of the world around them. My practice focuses on standards-based learning and assessment. In science I use the NGSS as the foundation to teach Biology and the AP standards to teach Environmental Science. In visual arts, I use the Washington Arts Learning Standards.
