This is the Homework calendar file that I use in first grade for the entire year. It is also translated in Portuguese and Spanish. It has a variety of activities for students to choose from weekly in their homework journals. The activities are correlated to the standards taught quarterly. Just print two to a page and glue in their journal for them to get started. I check mine on Fridays and give a treat if the four activities are done sufficiently.

Students will be able to conceptualize the purpose and importance of the 13th, 14th and 15th Amendments for the Americans during the Reconstruction period. The students will listen to a song and construct and illustrate a foldable defining and applying the Amendments in a creative way.

This Word Work Choice board offers 12 choices for your students to practice their spelling or sight words. They all are hands-on choices using materials that will get them moving and using the words in active ways. Here are word problems for the entire year for all situation types. Quarter 1 is within 10 and quarter 2-4 are within 20. I left it as a word document so it can be edited by the user. There are word problems for every week M-Th. You can change the names to the name of your choice as well. Our grade level printed these all out, copied them two to a page, and assembled them in a plastic pronged folder for use for the entire year.
