This sight word race is a great way to have students practice sight words in a game format. Students will write the weeks sight words in the boxes at the bottom of each column. Underneath each column is a picture of a dice. Students will roll the dice and will then write the sight word corresponding with the number they rolled. The first word to the top wins. This can be played individually or by taking turns with partners. When a six is rolled, they pick the word they want to write.

This ten frame worksheet can be down for a quick warm up and checks students fluency when identifying the number a ten frame represents. There is a box underneath each ten frame for the student to write the number represented.

These handouts are great to send home with parents to describe traits of books and readers for levels A/1-M/28. It gives them suggestions of how to help their child and also provides sample pages from each level, fiction and nonfiction, and also recommends books at each level.
