About the store
I am in my ninth year of teaching. For my first two years I taught K-5 Science. It was a wonderful experience and established my love for teaching the subject. I taught first grade for 6 years. I have been a second grade teacher since last year. It was definitely different than what I was used to, but I have fallen in love with the grade and age group. As a result of our adoption of a new reading and math series I began my journey to develop manipulative centers that students can practice their skills individually or cooperatively. Sadly, we will be adopting a new series after next year, but all of you can benefit! I have recently been trained in DBQs and I'm trying to align 1-3 curricula content into DBQ style writing lessons. It is very text based and the students are always very engaged! Lesson plans and packs to arrive this summer!

Fact Families 1-5 up to 20

This center allows opportunities for students to apply the skills they have learned during their math instruction. This center will provide practice making fact families and encourage students to investigate and understand the ways to make fact families. It should be laminated and cut apart. Then the students can write on the cards with dry erase marker and record it on their sheet. It is meant to be split by the cards based on the families, this would provide you five centers. Every center

Teaching style

Teaching requires patience, and learning requires noise. -B. Lisson I love embracing technology and cooperative learning in my classroom. I enjoy watching light bulbs come on as students defend their answers to a classmate.

Awards & shining teacher moments

Every time a student looks at me with that "AH HA!" moment shining it honors my soul and awards my heart. That is enough for me. Be someone's inspiration!
