Math Talk Flip Chart #1

This ActivInspire flip chart is a great tool for math talks in kindergarten/first grade class rooms. It features 15 slides total. There is a dot pattern, 10 frame, and addition/subtraction math fact for each day of the week (Monday-Friday). Students can interact with the flipcharts with the pen tool by circling different dot patterns they see when practicing subitizing, writing number sentences to match the 10 frames, and showing how to solve the addition/subtraction math facts.

Cards and Dice Math Skill Games

This is a set of directions for playing 11 different games with a deck of cards or pair of dice. Games incorporate basic addition, subtraction, and comparing numbers. I like to provide these directions to parents during conferences and give students a deck of cards and pair of dice to take home to play with.
